Westford Jr. Ghosts
The Nashoba Youth Hockey Association (NYHA) hosts the Westford Jr. Ghosts middle school program. Teams participate in the Valley Middle School Hockey League (VMSHL).
NYHA is the town hockey program for players residing in Westford and manages the registration, coaching, and insurance for the Westford Jr. Ghosts team. Friends of Westford Academy Hockey strongly supports the Junior Ghosts Hockey program, however the teams are not managed by the Westford Public Schools athletics program.
Season
December through February
Games
Approximately 10 regular season games followed by playoffs.
Checking is PROHIBITED.
Games are scheduled by the VMSHL and is designed to not conflict with NYHA PeeWee and Bantam games.
Parity adjustments will be made by the VMSHL.
Eligibility
Open to 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students residing in Westford or approved to attend Westford Schools
Teams are co-ed.
Locations
Games are scheduled at rinks throughout the region by the VMSHL.
Uniform
Players must order a jersey and socks.
Note
Teams are typically formed as 5/6 and 7/8 levels. Team(s) will be formed contingent upon the registration of a sufficient number of players.
